Land of Evanescence follows the director, a young Vietnamese filmmaker from the post-war generation, as she unearths the enduring impact of the Vietnam War. Through a blend of archival material, poetic reconstructions, and encounters with a former propagandist and a haunted American veteran, the film is a collective journey into memory, identity, and inherited trauma, asking what it means for her generation and those after to carry the weight of a war they never lived.
